US, again, bombs Iran as negotiation resumes

As Iran dialled up its psychological warfare, the US military launched strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the Iranian state media, IRNA, five explosions rocked the island on Monday.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) also confirmed it a statement, saying it downed two US MQM-170 drones, which it described as reconnaissance aircraft, south of Qeshm Island and a US MQ-9 drone east of the strait.

US President Donald Trump had earlier said he was in “no rush” to ramp up strikes on Iran, per the BBC reports. And the attacks also happened hours into the US mid-term elections, a day after Iran put billboards showing Trump, Israel PM Benjamin Nemthayau and others covered in blood stains.

The two countries are also back to the negotiation table for the umpteenth time since the hostilities began in February.
