About / The Studio
An independent media-tech company in Ikeja, Lagos.
We produce in-depth news, analysis, film, animation, short-form content and books for a younger African audience — with enough depth to bring to work, and enough entertainment to enjoy on your own time.
What we hold to
We are a Pan-Africanist media company. We believe in a strong, free, independent and prosperous Africa.
We believe in African nations living in unity, free from the shackles of tribalism and free to determine their own future. A deeply integrated Africa is necessary to our shared prosperity and security.
We believe in families and communities — in their role raising the next generation, and as the bridge that connects past, present and future.
Our standard
Ìwà l'ẹwà.
Character is beauty.
Omoluabi is the Yoruba idea of a person of good character: integrity, respect, humility, courage, hard work, wisdom. All the prosperity and fame in the world, without good character, is meaningless. The idea is not uniquely Yoruba — the same code turns up across Nigeria and the continent.

We might be sharp with our criticism. We might be sarcastic, and one day we may be accused of being a touch cynical or irreverent. But we will never be contemptuous or cruel.
